Plymouth Rod & Gun Club

PLYMOUTH ROD AND GUN CLUB - PLYMOUTH, MAPlymouth Rod & Gun Club, located in America's hometown, is a private, nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting the environment, conserving our natural resources, fostering the participation in hunting and fishing and the shooting sports such as rifle, pistol, skeet, trap, and archery. 

Plymouth Rod & Gun Club, now in its 77th year, was founded back in 1939.  The club owns approximately 118 acres of water front property which holds:

- Skeet Fields

- Sporting Clays Course

- 24/7 Indoor Pistol Range

- Outdoor Rifle & Pistol Range

- Archery Targets

- Small Boat Landing

- Upper & Lower Clubhouse Available for Use to Members on Special Occasions

2018 Dues

2018 Dues are now being collected.

Regular Member: $125 Spouse: $30
Junior Member: $6 (19 & under)
College Student: $6 (Proof of Undergraduate Enrollment required)
Senior Members – Any and all donations in any amount always gratefully accepted

Payments received after January 31, 2018 are subject to a 10% late fee. Dues not paid by the end of February incur a drop from the membership and deactivation of gate access card/fob. REINSTATEMENT WILL REQUIRE REAPPLICATION (payment of the initiation fee, annual dues, and range orientations) AND BEING PLACED ON THE CLUB’S WAITING LIST AND BEING RESPONSORED!

Clubhouse locks will be changed on or about the last weekend of January weather permitting. Notices of the change will be posted at the clubhouses. Thank you for your early response.

Email Broadcasts

The club has set up a new email blast list to get out information to the membership of events that the Board of Directors feel you should be made aware of. If you have not been getting these notifications and would like
to then stop by either the lower or upper clubhouse and add your name to the posted email list or send a message to George Baird (Club Sec.) at and request to be added to the list.

Delegates Needed

Bob MacIver, club member and delegate to the Plymouth County League of Sportsmen’s Clubs, is looking for anyone interested in becoming a delegate
The County League is made up of approximately 9 member clubs that meet the third Wednesday of each month to discuss matters that are of interest to or effect the interests with regard to fish and wildlife. If you wish to become a club delegate or want more information, please contact Mr. Bob MacIver at 508-866-2494.

Range Orientations

Outdoor range orientations are scheduled for first Saturday following the monthly meeting (which is held on the first Monday of the month). The orientation is a walk-through of the Outdoor range and begins at 9:00 AM sharp.  Rules and regulations and other pertinent information for the area are explained. The Indoor range orientation will be held immediately following the Outdoor orientation at 10 AM at the Indoor Pistol range on the same dates. This is a live fire exercise and you will be required to bring a firearm (any caliber), a target, 10 rounds of ammunition, and eye and ear protection. Completion of the orientations is required before any use of the ranges is permitted by the member.

New Members

The Plymouth Rod & Gun Club, has closed its membership to all new applicants. Anyone wishing to be considered for membership in the future may request to be placed on a waiting list by contacting the club’s secretary at 508-746-8887 or by email to  You must have a club sponsor in order for your name to be added to the waiting list and for your application to be considered.  Please read the "membership page" for more details.

Policy Notes

Junior members of the Club and Guests must be under the direct supervision of a Regular member of the Club at all times.  While on the shooting line, all Junior Members and Guests will  be supervised on a one-on-one basis by a club member no matter what their level of experience may be.  Members will stand behind and observe the Junior member or the Guest while they are shooting.  Side-by-Side shooting of the member and their guest is not allowed unless during a sanctioned club event.

We encourage Junior members to become involved in any the Club’s sporting activities. Guests of members are welcome and are encouraged to become members of the Club after 3 visits.  Note that the club does not allow any for-profit training on its property.

Plymouth Rod & Gun Club policy expressly prohibits professional instruction on club property.  Violation of this policy will adversely affect one's club membership.  This policy is in effect due to liability and insurance issues.
