Plymouth Rod & Gun Club

PLYMOUTH ROD AND GUN CLUB - PLYMOUTH, MAPlymouth Rod & Gun Club, located in America's hometown, is a private, nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting the environment, conserving our natural resources, fostering the participation in hunting and fishing and the shooting sports such as rifle, pistol, skeet, trap, and archery. 

Plymouth Rod & Gun Club, now in its 77th year, was founded back in 1939.  The club owns approximately 118 acres of water front property which holds:

- Trap Fields

- Skeet Fields

- Sporting Clays Course

- 24/7 Indoor Pistol Range

- Outdoor Rifle & Pistol Range

- Archery Targets

- Small Boat Landing

- Upper & Lower Clubhouse Available for Use to Members on Special Occasions

2016 Dues Notice

Dues for 2016 are currently being collected until January 31st. All dues collected after January 31st and up to February 28th will be subject to a 10% late fee. Dues that are not paid by March 1st will result in a removal from the membership roster and deactivation of gate fob/card – membership reinstatement will require being put on the waiting list, being re-sponsored, payment of all fees, and redoing orientations.

- Regular Members: $125.00

- Spouse: $30.00

- Juniors: $6.00 (up to 19 years old)

- College Students: $6.00 (proof of enrollment required)

2016 Lock Change Notice

Clubhouse locks will be changed the weekend of Jan. 2016. New keys are now available for purchase at a cost of $2.00 from:

(usually at club between 3-5pm weekdays & Sat, 10am-1pm Sundays - call club first: 508-746-9805)

- Walt Fray (Same times as above)

- Skeet Committee (Sunday Mornings 9-12)

- Trap Committee (Saturday Mornings 9-12)

No key will be issued without a current membership card. Old keys may be disposed of (after lock changeover) in the container by the door

Range Orientations

Outdoor range orientations are scheduled for first Saturday following the monthly meeting (which is held on the first Monday of the month). The orientation is a walk-through of the Outdoor range and begins at 9:00 AM sharp.  Rules and regulations and other pertinent information for the area are explained. If you have any questions regarding this orientation, please contact Mr. Tom Maloney at

The Indoor range orientation will be held immediately following the Outdoor orientation at 10 AM at the Indoor Pistol range on the same dates. This is a live fire exercise and you will be required to bring a firearm (any caliber), a target, 10 rounds of ammunition, and eye and ear protection. (Targets may also be purchased at the range.)

Completion of the orientations is required before any use of the ranges is permitted by the member.

New Members

The Plymouth Rod & Gun Club, has closed its membership to all new applicants. Anyone wishing to be considered for membership in the future may request to be placed on a waiting list by contacting the club’s secretary at 508-746-8887 or by email to  You must have a club sponsor in order for your name to be added to the waiting list and for your application to be considered.  Please read the "membership page" for more details.

Policy Notes

Junior members of the Club and Guests must be under the direct supervision of a Regular member of the Club at all times.  While on the shooting line, all Junior Members and Guests will  be supervised on a one-on-one basis by a club member no matter what their level of experience may be.  Members will stand behind and observe the Junior member or the Guest while they are shooting.  Side-by-Side shooting of the member and their guest is not allowed unless during a sanctioned club event.

We encourage Junior members to become involved in any the Club’s sporting activities. Guests of members are welcome and are encouraged to become members of the Club after 3 visits.  Note that the club does not allow any for-profit training on its property.

Plymouth Rod & Gun Club policy expressly prohibits professional instruction on club property.  Violation of this policy will adversely affect one's club membership.  This policy is in effect due to liability and insurance issues.
